    The AI American pipe dream will fail if for no other reason that the u.s. doesn’t have, and can’t add, sufficient power generation capacity. With that in mind, stuff like this, to me, illustrates that the people in charge are ideologues–theyre not working toward coherent material outcomes.

      There is a lack of appreciation for just how fucked up the market supply picture is now for electricity. We are looking at a massive supply gap in 2029 and beyond thanks to this OBBB stupidity. Either sky high power prices, rolling blackouts, or both will be the result. The lead time on gas turbines is now 7 years and prices have tripled. All based on vibes
