I use this for NewPipe as there seems to be no alternative for Linux, and I can sync my subscriptions from my phone which is nice. It works surprisingly well. I also tried RedReader but it doesn’t seem to work.
an Android Linux translation layer called Android Translation Layer (we never said developers were good at naming)
wth is that jab?
I like descriptive names on products.
Should they have called it koalupetta?
Should they have called it koalupetta?
TINAE - Tinae Is Not an Android Emulator
K(oalupetta)INAE - K(oalupetta)inae Is Not an Android Emulator
I am torn about that. I also like descriptive names for projects so I know what the project is about, but I also find it fun to have a creative name for a project as well. A real eye catcher.
Basically, descriptive naming is good unless its so generic you have trouble searching for it on search engines or it becomes the focus of search results when you’re searching for the general term for it.
RobotThunderfucker
Yeah Android Translation Layer is basically the perfect name for it.
I was gonna say something about Waydroid, but this seems like a better option than just emulating android. Hope the project sees success, or at least enough that if the devs ever quit that someone else in the community can pick it up and continue.
Yeah its certainly interesting. Might help in the eventual need to keep certain apps up and running.
Wine but for android…
