Addition thoughts: this trend is also what has caused the collapse of local politics in the USA, and broke grassroots. It was a necessary precursor to the rise of the oligarchs.

And one can also see this reflected in fewer churches, bars, places of prostitution, pool halls, social clubs etc etc

I don’t really like how they conducted this. If I was in charge of the study, I would focus on how alone they really are. No contact, whatsoever.

If they’re still making video calls and contacting by phone, they’re not alone because they are accompanying themselves with other people, just remotely.
