Wow! Who could have predicted this?
At least twice a day
But not necessarily at exact 12 hour intervals as you’d expect.
Surely there is some federal bureau meant to protect American consumers from things like this?

Even aside from being Trump-branded, how was this not a gigantic red flag -
The timepieces are made by TheBestWatchesonEarth LLC
What do you mean. The company is called BEST watches! Not WORST watches. Checkmate liberal.
THEY CAN’T CALL IT THAT UNLESS IT’S TRUE!
The generic names really do fool the geriatric
You mean his gullible followers didn’t think before they bought them? Shocking.
It’s pretty simple; if they’re going to continue getting scammed by him, he’s going to keep scamming them.
Suckers never learn.
If you buy MAGA shit then you are not being scammed. You are just a fucking dumbass that shouldn’t spawn more dumbasses.
The timepieces are made by TheBestWatchesonEarth LLC and range from $499 to $2,999 per watch, or $5,389 for the “Ultra Mega Collector Set.”
if you spend over five thousand dollars on a device to tell the time, you are an idiot with more money than sense.
Well, telling time is one more feature than most jewelry has, and that’s what mechanical watches really are. That’s not even very expensive as far as watches go.
I sure wouldn’t buy one myself, but I won’t judge anyone for their taste in fashion accessories. In this case I will absolutely judge them, but for entirely different reasons.
My guess is that Trump was going after the “forth at the mouth for anything with his name on it” audience.
There are Rolex collectors who will throw $20k at a watch easy.
That’s not who Trump is trying to attract.
He’s going after people who buy shit with his name on it because they want to be shown as in the “in group”.
It’s simpler than that. It was a way for him to accept bribes from foreign enemies of the US.
Rolex watches cost up to 10x that and don’t even keep accurate time. It’s a feature.
“The overall 2.8-star rating appears to suggest a record of over-promising and under-delivering.”
Enough about his presidency, get to the watches!
Well yeah they literally bought a watch from a grifter what did they expect hahaha
Lol, the one positive review mentions how it’s designed for “a very small wrist”…
I wonder if this is just because it was made cheaply in Asia and not designed for the average heft of a trumpet, or if they used Trump’s baby hands for sizing?
I wonder if this is just because it was made cheaply in Asia and not designed for the average heft of a trumpet.
I’m sure it’s this. Everything about this, down to the variable delays that different customers endure, screams out that this is a shady, shoestring operation stalling until they finally hit minimum order quantity with their drop-shipper in China.
Is it still a scam if the outcome was obvious ahead of time?
Does the guy (at Wired ?) that bought a Trump Phone got his phone finally ?
Marks get marked
This being animated is deeply unsettling.
It is on them for buying one in the first place.
Conservatives do t understand consequences till they are effected…
All these grifts do, is slowly chip away at his most loyal supporters, because they’re the only ones even attempting to buy this shit.
You might be right, but I think the question is, “does my commitment to the cult outweigh my commitment to self and empirical reality?”
I think like in any other cult that fleeces its members, the answer for many is, “yes.”
Cults tend to charge for immaterial things, and if you complain they say it’s your fault it didn’t work, and to fix it you need to give more.
This is different.
These are capitalist grifts where the victims anticipate a tangible exchange of goods.
It’s a lot harder to say a shitty watch is worth it when it can be appraised and assigned real world value.
It’s not going to be a huge loss of support, but like I said, this is just chipping away at the most feverant supporters, which historically is the best way to fight fascism. And Trump’s doing it to himself because he’s greedy
How do we know the watches are shitty? Apparently the complaints are they never got one in the first place!
He’s been doing the watch grift since before the last election.
Some watch collectors ordered earlier models to see how bad they are, and they’re basically being made with the same components as shitty Rolex knockoffs, which line up with assumptions after hearing the producers name.
If you know absolutely nothing about watches they might seem different, but if you appraise it or a collector looks at, they’ll probably openly laugh when looking at them.
It’s cheap junk spray painted gold then stamped with Trump’s name and the word “crypto”.
Just saw this article today on ArsTechnica, which seems relevant: https://arstechnica.com/science/2025/10/believing-misinformation-is-a-win-for-some-people-even-when-proven-false/
They were beaten by their parents (and sometimes worse than beaten) so now they’re masochistic and interpret abuse as love.
Really interesting article - one of the more insightful theories I’ve seen for truly understanding why people are attracted to the right’s outright lying and bad faith posturing.
