If the economy is circling the drain, I guess a government shutdown is a brilliant strategy to just stop reporting the numbers and pretend everything’s fine!
DOGE won. The media cycle this shutdown feels like there is almost no impetus to restart public services.
Capitalist entities will revolt if many of the suspended services aren’t restarted.
Walmart’s entire labour strategy collapses without SNAP and Medicaid preventing the company’s workers from starving to death.
From 1 (good) to 10 (bad) how badly will this affect the US economy?
The economy is doing great as long as it’s not directly observed. :)
