No we fucking don’t need people to be tied down to commuting hours a day to sit in an office. Building affordable high density housing, offering tax breaks to local shop owners, improving transit sanitation by enforcing ticket fares, and regularly cleaning the streets would do wonders. I can’t begin to count the number of times I had to step over human shit while walking the area immediately outside Little Tokyo, the Convention Center, and Hollywood. Just look at the areas that are doing well and expand it elsewhere throughout the city, it shouldn’t be that hard.
