Skyblivion is going to get right to the finish line then get shut down isn’t it?

I have a feeling skyblivion is going to be miles better than what this studio is putting out anyways

Having access to essentially skyrims mod scene would automatically put skyblivion with a huge head start on user customizability

I’m not very familiar with the Elderly Scrolls, but if my friends are to be believed, what the people really want is a Morrowind remaster.

Morrowind remaster won’t sell. It’s one of those “hybrid” RPGs similar to KOTOR games - it has a gameplay elements of isometric RPGs: RNG combat, very few voiced dialogs - while looking like 3D action RPG. This just won’t work for modern gamers. Its theoretical devs would need to either turn it into isometric CRPG or completely rework its gameplay to make modern action RPG out of it (as well as do it in the new engine to improve graphics and everything else). Both choices mean a complete remake, not remaster.

I don’t know whether this leak means “true” remake of Oblivion, but that seems unlikely. Oblivion is relatively modern and you can definitely remaster it for new hardware without complete rebuilding.

This would be a completely separate studio and have no impact on 6. 6 is blocked by Starfield.

I saw the name and a slight tinge of memory called. Can you remind me where I know of xfire from?

Was it an old server browser back in the day?

It was a chat client that also shared what games you were playing. Like Steam friends list way before Valve finally got it working.

Good to know that I wasn’t going crazy. I knew Xfire was familiar and wasn’t sure if I was confusing it with Xlink Kai.

          Man…

Damn, haven’t see that UI in a long time. The early days of Ventrilo, TeamSpeak, Digby, xfire, GameSpy Arcade, etc.

Interesting news, but taking it with a grain of salt. I mean, I guess if they’ve run out of things to port Skyrim to it makes sense to remake or remaster Oblivion. If it is true then RIP to Skyblivion. Hard to see it getting released if they are doing a ground-up remake of Oblivion.

So this is for consoles, is it an official release or something fan made that needs a modded console?

It looks like it may be an official release, but we’ll need more time to know for sure.

There is currently a fan-made remake happening using Skyrim’s engine that’s been in the works about a decade.

These leaks are never going to be worth it to me. The site just has to swear up and down that their source is correct and all we really see is a “source: trust me bro”
