I had to read the title a few times myself, it’s long and most of it could go into the body
I can never understand why they’d go for GNOME for their use case. Don’t they want to have it as light as possible? Probably could’ve gone with XFCE or MATE.
Base GNOME isn’t much larger than MATE.
He meant lighter as in performance wise.
Still is almost as light performance and memory footprint wise when talking about GNOME 46.
If I’m honest, I forgot what MATE was, so yeah I reviewed it and it still seems a bit lighter, but not too much.
Yeah MATE is lighter but the margin is small since it’s basically GNOME 2.
It is hard to screw up that’s why
tails is a great tool for privacy I always found it more clunky to use sadly, but it’s use case as a no log no track style is is amazing. Just don’t try to use it with anything that uses external storage, it has a cow.
