Not yet. I just read the NYT article on this and that said:

The city attorney’s office referred further inquiries to the Idaho attorney general’s office, which oversees the elected sheriff when he is acting in his official capacity. The attorney general’s office did not immediately respond to an email on Monday.

The way I read it is that they referred it to the AG to go after the sheriff through disciplinary means because there’s probably not grounds for criminal charges against the sheriff directly.

Maybe he got a lovely paid vacation.
