Bazzite desktop seems to be completely usable with a 20XX+ card. It’s Gaming Mode that boots straight into steam big picture mode that where all of the issues lie.
Cards below do suffer even on desktop though and can regularly crash due to an instability in their drivers when using wayland.
I don’t know how true this is considering my GPU idles at pretty much 0%
Do you use gaming mode? Or are you on desktop mode?
I use it on my laptop, so presumably desktop mode. But from what I understand, games run in gamemode by default.
Gaming mode is when you have no desktop environment loaded up it’s just the big picture mode environment so there’s less running in the background.
If you’re in desktop mode and you play a game and you can alt-tab out, that proves you’re not in gaming mode because the desktop environment is still loaded in the background
