Maybe we just need to move content to the public domain more quickly. Something gets made, they have 5 years to recoup their costs and make their profit, then release it to the public domain so it can be enjoyed and preserved for future generations.

Not going to happen with Disney. They are lobbying to increase it even more than 100 years.
Maybe they should try coming up with some new ideas… use that imagination they are always talking about.
