Hi guys! Good morning/afternoon/evening!

I saw that many people in the Zcash community say that they have the advantage of using end-to-end encryption with ZK-SNARKS circuits, and Monero relies on obfuscation and does not use encryption as a way to protect privacy, Monero has a public blockchain although opaque, but Zcash’s is encrypted, making a comparison Zcash (with Orchad / shielded transactions and Tachyon) vs Monero (with FCMP++ and Carrot).

While I’m on the subject, won’t Tachyon give Zcash the edge over Monero when it comes to scalability?

I love Monero and I want to make sure it’s always at its maximum potential, so I think it’s essential to question yourself.

One more question: what is a response to this post? -> https://np.reddit.com/r/CryptoTechnology/comments/1m77zat/zcash_vs_monero_technology/

and Monero loves to shittalk on zcash yet I haven’t seen any technical explanation as to why it could suck

going after other cryptos will not make people attracted to XMR in any way. Crypto wars are just cringe.

The thread does say some true things, but I believe it highly exaggerates. Monero is NOT untraceable as well as NOT traceable by default, and decoys ARE not enough and some are being found. Now, churning still exists and kind of bypasses this problem but still, it’s alarming.

I don’t know how zcash works, I’ll try to learn more, but frankly these little wars are fucking cringe. No side seems better than the other. We’re united under privacy and untraceability, not fucking brand/crypto names

A guy working with Cake Wallet and being in the Monero community while being paid to de-anonymize transactions sure seems shady though. But hey, if he’s good at it, he’s also in a position to help
