Well, yeah, but you can still create you own niche in the genre.
Personally, with Mario Kart and Smash, I don’t need to buy any other games in these genres, but there’s a still place for these games, specially if you like the characters. For instance, if they release PlayStation All Star 2, I would love to try that.
@slimerancher Oh, absolutely! I’d love another PASBR if they ever release that, but based on content, refined gameplay and just sheer fandom, I think it’d be almost impossible to compete directly with SSB
Make it Free to play. A multi-platform, free to play game. It won’t be competing directly with SSB, but more with Brawlhalla, which seems to be doing pretty good for itself.
Yeah, and people were really excited for it. Don’t know what happened to it. I think they have removed it and gone back to work on it more. Also, it was never released in Asia. If you were in Asia, you just couldn’t play it.
The first seemed kind of meh. What does this need to complete more competitively with SSB?
@Rouxibeau @slimerancher By this point almost nothing can compete with SSB in that genre.

Yeah, no arguments on that! SSB is a class on it’s own.

Isn’t that what Multiverses is doing?
