Former prime minister Naftali Bennett warned that Israel’s status in the United States “has never been so bad” and that it is being seen as a “leper state” in a lengthy social media post on Tuesday.

“The Democratic party hasn’t been with us for some time. We’re also losing the Republican party, whose support for Israel could once be counted on,” he wrote, though he credited US President Donald Trump with retaining support for Israel within his administration.

“Even those who have been our friends are having a hard time defending the State of Israel,” Bennett continued. “Israel is being seen more and more as a liability and burden on the USA and Americans.”

The bizarre thing, from any sort of objective viewpoint is that Israel is anything other than an international pariah.

At this point, pretty much the only thing one could say in favor of Israel is that they don’t eat Palestinians. Short of that, they’ve committed and are committing virtually every evil and atrocity imaginable, on an almost daily basis.

They aren’t even subtle about it - given the chance they’ll crow about it - brag about it - even laugh about it. Hardly a week goes by without some number of civilians, soldiers, even politicians applauding the wholesale murder of Palestinians, the destruction of everything they value and the theft of their land - standing up in front of the world to declare outright that Palestinians are subhuman animals undeserving of any consideration and that Israelis have every right ro do whatever they wish to them.

It is, by any reasonable measure, pure, unmitigated evil, and the degree to which Israel is not an international pariah is only the degree to which they aren’t made to face the consequences they so richly deserve.
