      This is different from culture to culture. Where I’m living, it would be considered as bad to give the salary.

        I honestly have a hard time imagining how this works. Its similar to buying stuff without a price tag. I would never buy something if the only way to know the price is to ask.

          it works just fine because people generally earn the same depending on education, experience and profession. There are tools online to check what range you can expect based on your parameters, and then there is some flexibility based on your person/skills. The salary is then negotiated during the application phase.

      I can also concur this (“salary is not shared upfront”) varies from country to country.
