It was a few years back so things might’ve changed but while I was still on Reddit I discussed it with some others and at least based on what they were saying, Canadian internet and phone prices were considerably higher than American. It doesn’t help that there’s a duopoly here.
I’ve lived in Canada too. I was surprised to find the situation with broadband/cell phone services to be even less competitive (and more pricey) than in the US.

Don’t visit Canada then. American prices look dirt cheap compared to what we have here.
