It brings me hope when I see atleast one other person trying to make sense of things. Fun place for debate, isn’t it?

Haha sort of. People have a very superficial understanding of topics but a lot of confidence and anger. I don’t know why I even bother with these forums/communities. My hope is lurkers don’t feel alienated here because they aren’t left of Bernie enough. The older I get, the more I notice people talk with a lot of confidence about stuff they have no idea about.

On reddit, no matter how ridculous claim someone makes, you could always sort by controversial and there’s usually someone calling them out on their bullshit. I feel like that is not the case here, so I almost feel like it’s my duty to be the voice of reason. I never claim to be an expert because I basically never am, but atleast I know how much I don’t know and whenever I see someone making absolutely idiotic claims I just have to step in. Hopefully atleast few people scroll thru the thread looking for the alternative point of view.

I’m not naive enough to think I’m always right but atleast I try to be honest. I also don’t think the people here are stupid either, just they way they think is. Or rather don’t think.
