I hate to have to say it, but good. America needs to fail and fail HARD in order to ensure that conservatives never find themselves in a position of authority ever again.

I see it like alcoholism. Right now, we’re basically “functioning.”

We’re hobbled, but we’re making it day-by-day. And most people with core-issue problems usually don’t seek help until they’re face down in the gutter- because from there, you either drown, or turn around, lift yourself up, and get help.

Sadly, it seems America needs to hurt and hurt bad before anyone will ever do anything. So… I say; have at it. Bring the worst and let’s get this over with. Because I don’t think It’ll ever get better until we can finally see exactly how bad it can get.

Seems like most Americans would rather drown

I think it’s really a failure (or sabotage) of public education. People just don’t know things, and sometimes because no one told them. Or didn’t show them in a way that resonates emotionally.

Like, you can tell people that there was polio but that’s just like your opinion man.

I partly blame YouTube et al for letting garbage proliferate on their platforms, too.

I want America to change, a failing America will likely go to war to maintain its Imperialism. I suspect this is about to happen.

We need to move forward and create something better. We can’t go backwards to get to the future.

I’d love nothing more than to see America live up to its potential. But I’m also a realist. It’s not going to happen with a broken system of law, oligarchs controlling commerce and a weaponized military.

America needs a wake up call. Many of us thought having a dictator set loose on our democracy just once would have been enough…

But as long as good remains the opposite of perfect, we should expect nothing better and be prepared for even less.

You would hope it would be a wakeup call but we are already too broken and divided by design. The US was founded by the wealthy for the wealthy. We have excelled at taking what is not ours and exploiting resources to the detriment of the world’s ecosystem.

We have become the world’s biggest problem and spread our fascism across the planet.

I would be a lot more gloom and doom if I also didn’t know that life has improved dramatically for billions of people in the last twenty years.

At any rate, thanks for talking.

That’s what you took from what I said? Do they not teach people how to read for context anymore?

I have applied to hundreds of positions in the last couple of months to no avail. I’m convinced every posted position is fake.

Okay, so are these the real numbers or are these the, “please don’t fire me like the last person, I swear I can make them not as bad” numbers?
