    Adding to what other’s already said: The device has a FCC ID, so we know this is some kind of radio device. FCC provides a database where you can search for FCC IDs and download some of the documents the device manufacturer had to provide to the authirty during the approval process: https://www.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid The entry for the FCC ID from your device shows, that this is an “Autmatic Meter Reading module for a utility water meter” from Itron. So, this device most likely periodically reads your current water consumption from the water meter and sends it via radio to your water utility for billing purposes. If you want further technical details, check the database I linked above. You can find a user manual and even some test reports there.
