When I was dating hot and heavy, that was woman code for, “Not hearing your Trump bullshit.” And this was in one of the reddest counties in the South. A few women told me guys would start ranting about Trump and liberals, on the first date. No shit.

I would imagine in the current climate asking someone their political beliefs and who they support should be question 1.

And this was in one of the reddest counties in the South

A few women told me guys would start ranting about Trump and liberals, on the first date. No shit.

So you’re in one of the heaviest republican states according to yourself, it seems to be a pretty solid point you’d both love? Why wouldn’t they start with it? The majority of white women love Trump and hate liberals:

A majority of white women continued to support Trump in all 2024 election surveys. Both Edison and VoteCast data show 53% of white women backing Trump, compared to 60% of white men (a seven point gender gap). Across both surveys, white women’s support for Trump has ranged from 52 to 55% from 2016 to 2024. Similar majorities of white women have backed the Republican presidential nominee in every election since 2004.

While many liberal female voters are critical about Donald Trump’s remarks about women as well as his policies related to women’s rights, it’s worth noting that between the 2020 and 2024 presidential elections, Trump increased his support among women voters, from 42% to 45%.

You do understand that 45% means it’s more likely that the woman doesn’t support trump? Even at the reddest end of the spectrum, there’s a very strong chance a woman is either indifferent to, or doesn’t like Trump.

The point about 42 to 45% shows his support is increasing, not that 42-45% overall support him

The OP is obviously white, lives in a white country and is posting on the fediverse, one of the whitest, left wing, liberal, hippie websites I’ve ever been on, I’ve unhighlighted it and highlighted the part I was trying to emphasise.

If she’s white it shows 53%:

Both Edison and VoteCast data show 53% of white women backing Trump

And this was averaged out over the whole country, in republican/red states it’s pretty obvious there would be even higher levels of support amongst white women
