Unusual shoutout, but Meebook is also very interesting they have an e-ink phone-sized handheld tablet that runs Android, it’s like $140. Not sure how much work people on, say, MobileRead have done with that, but background internet connectivity on par with a cheaper phone and a tiny form factor are more interesting to me than a larger device and color display since custom launchers and other software for these things is well-established already.
