Why the fuck would you talk to these clowns, let alone invite them inside. You have the right to tell them to fuck off through the window. They do not have a warrant.

You know what seriously sucks, is you’re absolutely right. But in the moment some people are so completely caught off guard that logic like this just disappears. I was uncomfortable just watching this because I know I would be also continuing to talk more than I should in response to their fake politeness.

Yesterday a man asked me to sign a paper to get some candidate on some ballot and, caught off guard, I was complying before noticing it was for a Republican candidate and logic just came back to me leading me to refuse before going too far.

Yeah, and in this scene the feds stroll up in casual clothing, with sunglasses perched on their head like they’re on their way to have some mai tais down by the beach. They seem friendly and forthcoming and just want to ask some questions. “Your name came up and we’re just trying to get an accurate picture of what happened.” Once he’s mentally committed to the exercise then they start grilling him about antifa and accusing him of lying about his lack of connections.

A hostile (voluntary) questioning is always going to start like it’s no big deal.

This is an excellent point and no doubt a key aspect of human nature that is exploited to achieve the overall success of this tactic.

During the 2nd red scare. FBI agents simply broke into people’s homes to find evidence of “subversiveness”

Hey kids it’s shut the fuck up Friday. Here’s some friendly advice for when shit like this happens - you don’t have to say shit to law enforcement without a warrant. Get yourself a camera on your door to check when you have unexpected people at your door - I don’t even blindly open mine for contractors soliciting work.

The second he flipped his badge out the right move was to tell them to come back with a warrant and shut the door.

    SHUT THE FUCK UP

you don’t have to say shit to law enforcement without a warrant.

FTFY. The fifth amendment doesn’t have any kind of “unless a judge says so” clause in it. You cannot be compelled to testify against yourself. Period, end of statement, full stop, do not pass Go or collect $200. A warrant gives them the ability to compel a search of your stuff, but it doesn’t compel you to talk.

Ask for their name and badge number. They should write it down so you can have a copy. Ask for a warrant signed by a judge. Don’t say anything. Don’t sign anything. Ask if you’re free to go. If they say you’re free to go, then fucking go. They don’t need to read your miranda rights unless you’re actually detained, but they can still use everything against you. If you’re not free to go, you’re being detained and should ask for a lawyer.

Cops will try to “interview” you in a casual setting, (where you’re technically free to go, but most people won’t think to ask), meaning they can use everything against you without reading your miranda rights. And they WILL use it against you.

I’ll never understand black people that support right wingers. Does this guy not know he’s also a second class citizen in the eyes of the fascists? They want him back in shackles, and he’s ready to bend the knee. Pathetic.

Nothing about the black dude says he supports right wingers…Just seems to be a guy doing his job.

It just opens an involuntary can of worms that is giving a very irritating white savior complex. Not a fan of how things are going, but this is just unnecessary.

Pro tip. Ignore the black man and talk directly to his white master. Boy needs to learn his place in the new world he’s building.
