You’re still making them aware there are other options.but often when people tell you to ditch windows for Linux, they are suggesting a huge migration for a small problem. The issue with windows is the hundreds of small problems and the privacy.

What’s the value in being unclear?
It’s not about being unclear, it’s about making a human connection instead of pushing an agenda.
“have you considered using Linux” can be said as someone genuinely trying to help. An OS isn’t a fucking agenda.
