    Glorifying brachycephalic dogs on social media is a serious pet peeve of mine. It’s disturbing both that we’ve created these animals that suffer constantly and that we glorify their appearance.

      There’s a difference between glorifying unhealthy features in dog breeds like the squished snout of a pug, and going “aww” at a picture of a dog in a cute costume.

      If you mean the tongue, it’s most likely due to the specific dog missing some teeth.

      If you mean the squished muzzle then yeah. It’s all kinds of fucked up that they can’t breathe properly because some people (including me) think it’s an adorable face for a dog and some people (not me) think that’s enough to justify the myriad health problems.
