How Simu Liu wasn’t the star and connective tissue of the MCU post Endgame I’ll never know.

We should have had three Shang Chi films in the build up to Doomsday, or at least three films with him in a leading role.

I hope he gets to do more post Secret Wars, but I fear we’re going to be leaning heavily into the X-Men, not that the X-Men are bad, I just want more Simu.

It really felt like they knew they needed a new emotional backbone to tie things together after Robert Downey Jr and Simu was going to be it then, just, wasn’t?

I don’t know if we needed three Shang Chi films but just him showing up more and connecting things would have done wonders to counter the aimless feeling I get from the MCU right now.

Yeah, he seemed like a grounded character that would do well as a connecting character like Steve Rodgers.

I think the plan was for Sam and Yelena to be the faces of the MCU, since their future roles were being established right at the end of the Infinity Saga. Simu Liu certainly has had the enthusiasm of a lead, but other than a possible connection through the 10 rings, it doesn’t look like Shang Chi figured to be a central character at all. Maybe Hawkeye level of importance at most.

I think they don’t like Simu Liu cause why aren’t there any more shang chi movies? It’s like the same with Hulk movie.
