So for some time now i have been taking steam deck with me for my travels but i have always turned it off instead of putting it to sleep so battery wouldnt drop too quickly but i never checked if it would actually drop too quickly when i put it to sleep… Soo what now? Should i still power it down or would it be fine if i put it to sleep? Also forgot to add, battery precentage matters to me since i dont have always access to charger
I always turn mine off, the Deck has terrible battery life in sleep mode. My partner usually keeps theirs in sleep-mode and they often need to charge their Deck when turning it back on.
Mine is always in sleep mode, but I always have it plugged in with the charge limit at 80%. It may not be ideal, but it’s always ready. If I’m going to away from home for a few hours, it’s still fine. If I was traveling like the OP, I’d turn it off.
