By this I mean the psensor applet icon (second from the left) being to big.
I was messing arround trying to customize my desktop and i followed a guide on how to install and setup latte-dock (kde). Long story short, i failed removed latte (although I think it may have left some stuff behind) and when I restored my cinnamon panel the icon was like this. I’ve already restored the system with timeshift but it made no difference and tried to set “symbolic icon size” in panel settings but it completely ignores it. I googled for a solution but cant find any :c
Any ideas?
P.S. If I set panel height too small, all the applet icons go halfway off screen through the bottom, something they didnt used to do.
SOLVED: Using this comand:
gsettings reset-recursively org.cinnamon
Reverts the icons to their normal behaviour. Thanks to potatoguy
One question, does changing icon themes back and forth solve it? (Just trying to guess how to solve this)
Edit: Or this command:
- gsettings reset-recursively org.cinnamon
The command did it!!! Even stremio looks fine. Those icons still behave strangely, they ignore the icon size option in “panel settings” and they have a bit more padding than the rest but I think that was their “normal” behaviour like you said in your other comment.
Thank you very much, my hero, those kinds of errors annoy me more than they should. Gonna save this command in my “usefull commands for dummies” file.
I love asking for help with linux on lemmy 40% of the users are pros have just the exact way to fix your problems
Unfortunately, I think this is a problem on a lot of DEs, had this on budgie, xfce, kde was better, but the only one with consistent tray icons, that I found, was gnome.
The problem seems to be boxing and rescaling the icon, as it comes in 24px, 32px, 64px, etc. Stremio is always BIG on everything too.
Turn down the temperature in your home 🤣
The jerk-it notification, its time to go relieve yourself
