Researchers at the University of Warsaw have unveiled a breakthrough method for detecting and precisely calibrating terahertz frequency combs using a quantum antenna made from Rydberg atoms. By combining atomic electrometry with a powerful terahertz-to-light conversion technique, they achieved the first measurement of a single terahertz comb tooth—something previously impossible due to the limits of electronics and optical tools.

“Until recently, the terahertz range was considered a blank area in the electromagnetic spectrum… positioned between microwaves (used, for example, in Wi-Fi) and infrared … it holds immense potential for applications that include inspecting packages without harmful X-rays, superspeed 6G communication, and spectroscopy and imaging of organic compounds…”

    Why would we have difficulty accessing something that’s in between wavelengths we’re already pretty good at manipulating? It seems like this would only be an issue for wavelengths on the extreme ends of the spectrum.

      1. how long do the vibrations last?
      2. how can you test a homeopathic pill to see if the vibrations have decreased
      3. what are the frequencies of the vibrations for the different homeopathic ingredients?
      4. do the vibrations decrease over time?
      5. how do you remove all previous vibrations?
      6. what is the half life of the vibrations and does it change from the vibrations of an onion to the vibrations of a duck liver at some point as it slows?
      7. by what mechanism does the body read and measure these vibrations?
      8. once measured by the body what actions are taken and how can we measure them?
      9. how are vibrations transfered from one molecule to another?
      10. how does the native vibrations of water change the vibrations of the substance? Because when you add two frequencies you get a new third frequency.
      11. how are these frequencies different from brownian motion?
      12. how can you verify your water is free of vibrations from previous interactions?
