I believe 2026 will be year of defeating authoritarianism. In Hungary there’s a good chance Orban will finally be voted out, Democrats might win big in the midterms, I’m seeing initial signs that the UK will reverse Brexit or move towards that direction but for these kinds of things to happen it’s going to take good people willing to fight and win instead of the bad people.
What I’ve learned is activism is the cure for doom scrolling and worrying. Just focus on something you believe in and fight for it, you’ll feel so much better. For me I’m passionate about trying to get people to boycott Twitter and other companies that support Trump, I just focus on that and know I’m doing what I can to make things better. I don’t spend a lot of time stuck in unproductive loops. You too can fight for a better future.
I was full bore into all of this but now I’m not sure it’ll happen. They’re so insanely absurdly stupid and incompetent and seem to care more about the racism than anything else. Trump is very obviously getting worse by the week and that ain’t gonna just suddenly stop
I hope he has an anuyerism. Thing is he brought the “Forbidden R-Word” out of retirement by calling Tim Walz one. He is highly infuential. Hell I bet he could get white people to start saying the N-Word next.
Friendly reminder to not stuff the rag into the bottle, but rather keep the bottle closed and tie the rag around it. That way the liquid won’t leak out and the fire won’t touch it until the bottle breaks (hopefully after you’ve thrown it).
I… I don’t know if I can handle another year of all this…

I’m an American and I’m worried Trump will start publicly executing transpeople as a warning to the gays to “tone it down” any day now

I hope I’m right

Hi. Where?
Very strong emphasis on initial. Polling is showing Brexit is slowly becoming more unpopular: https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/politics/brexit-support-2025-poll-will-uk-rejoin-eu-396304/ and talk about rejoining the EU customs union: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-customs-union-vote-labour-mps-trade-eu-b2881712.html
well, that’s promising news, so thanks. Still, I won’t hold my breath
Even in the worst moment, you can always find comfort in the “warmth” of some healthy social activity to do outdoor…
Been saving up styrofoam all year. For arts and crafts, of course!

I stuffed the rag in and it worked fine. Leaves a trail of fire but you don’t have to worry about the rag slipping off!
