    Fair point, but additionally it was the will of the Pharisees and the Sadducees convincing Pilate to execute Jesus on their behalf. They had no power as Jewish people to execute another Jew, so they had to use Pilate as a proxy. Also the Roman Soldiers,who had no reason to torture him before execution also proved ACAB thousands of years before the phrase.Oddly though, as my personal unpopular opinion, I always considered Judas as the sort of anti-hero, who accepted payment to turn over Jesus to the Pharisees which enabled his ability to take on sin and die on our behalf.
