considering they arnt before the pandemic either, since its heavily gatekept right out of college through various means. most of what ive seen when job searching in stems, is they cater to international scientist level talent, or h1b visa holders instead. entry level isnt exactly easy to get too. its really meant for people who are well off for grad school, unless you are very lucky as an undergrad. no wonder i see so much disastified reviews of my state uni, and other unis after graduation, its a systemic problem since '08.
