I learned only yesterday that Google is going to effectively shut down open android. So I’m gonna have to move away from there. But what are my options? Is there a nice website that lists and compares alternatives?
I hear that Graphene is the goat, but I’m not on a pixel phone. Currently I’m on a Samsung galaxy a15
I hear about lineageOS as a good second, but it sounds like Google’s decision to close down android might affect lineage too.
I hear about others, but I’m not too well versed in running obscure OS.

lineageos is fine and would be for now. if lineage’s killed it would also affect graphene.
just install lineage on ur phone and don’t install gapps, maybe disable some google stuff like the timesync server it uses or the connectivity check thing and you’re good. if its unsupported try a gsi version
So what about the government, healthcare and banking apps?
not sure what answer you want here, the truth right now is that they don’t want to support us on custom roms. either mitigate the issue with quirky workarounds (last i tried safetynet bypass shits with magisk was 2019… idk how things are rn) or just keep a separate phone for those stuff only, or a web browser if it works, etc…
