Just thought of an alternative theory. Republican states may be more obsessed with trans porn, but maybe its not the anti-trans or Republicans in those states that are obsessed. Maybe the reason why so many are antitrans in those states is the prevalence of trans porn in their communities.
Repressed Republican is an attractive explanation, and probably true for a significant portion, but I doubt it’s the full truth.
Like, is the model here that people are hanging it from light poles? Generally people have their little fireman time at home, behind closed doors. How the fuck would you know?

That would just be a new occurrence of a known pattern: most hateful are mostly repressing themselves and infuriated by people who aren’t.
