      Just like with proprietary software, there’s amazingly dependable FOSS software, and there’s garbage. In my experience FOSS is much more reliable when compared to it’s proprietary counterparts, with very few exceptions. Seems to me that you’ve been dealing with the wrong FOSS projects.
