It does. Of course it does. There are… clues. I understand not everyone is capable of understanding subtlety, I have a son who I suspect is also slightly on the spectrum, but the rest of us surely can tell.

Help me put them, what “clues” suggest this meme is meant to be sexist against men?

The innuendo here is that it’s a guy talking to a “hot girl”, right. And they’re talking about this metal band that she “supposedly” likes. He’s demanding that she prove it by “naming one ☝️ song” by the band. She names a song by a different band.

Guy says “close enough” because boobies.

          🤲🤌 Plain as day.

I still don’t get how this implies only men gatekeep metal (or other music genres)

But in your first comment you specifically said that the first line of the image is sexist. How can the first line specifically be interpreted as sexist in any other way?

I’m saying that in this case the first line is to be interpreted as being said a man. But not only men gate-keep. I’m not saying that.

I’m really struggling to grasp how this is so difficult. This is like a common thing that is a problem. Women being metal fans; claim they like band X; men nearby ask “okay, name one song by them, hurr durr!”. This is commonly known. Common stereotypical incel behavior.

I can’t speak for the Metal scene, but in the gabber scene this is definitely not something only men do. I’ve had the same thing happen to me when wearing a Neophyte or Rotterdam Terror Corps shirt, and it was a similar amount of men and women. I think it’s pretty sexist of you to assume the first line is to be interpreted as bring said by a man
