In a historic vote, 75% of Senate Democrats backed an effort to block weapons to Israel. The resolutions failed, but the vote was the latest sign of Democrats’ growing consensus against aid to Israel, as support for the country hits an all-time low.

honest question for someone not super politically educated: what are the chances that within the year (before summer, even) We see another $billion + go to the “defense” of Isreal despite this vote?
I know even Bernie & AOC have unfortunately supported ““defensive weapons”” so I guess I’m just wondering what are the chances this vote is all bullshit and sooner rather than later they’ll bipartisan-ly give Isreal another huge chunk of cash??? My bets are on the chance being 100% …
The news here is that a majority of democrats voted to block arms to Israel. But those arms-blockers were in the minority overall, since all Republicans voted against the proposal. So 100% more arms will go to Israel, since this proposal to block said arms failed.
