Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) speaking at a student Q&A at Stanford University about "Who Controls the Future of AI: The Oligarchs or the People?" on February 20th 2026. honest question for someone not super politically educated: what are the chances that within the year (before summer, even) We see another $billion + go to the “defense” of Isreal despite this vote?

I know even Bernie & AOC have unfortunately supported ““defensive weapons”” so I guess I’m just wondering what are the chances this vote is all bullshit and sooner rather than later they’ll bipartisan-ly give Isreal another huge chunk of cash??? My bets are on the chance being 100% …

The news here is that a majority of democrats voted to block arms to Israel. But those arms-blockers were in the minority overall, since all Republicans voted against the proposal. So 100% more arms will go to Israel, since this proposal to block said arms failed.
