    Meeting all day would be fine, if that were the entire job. Like, if I didn’t have actual work that was expected to get done, too.

    If it is one-way communication it should always be email. If it’s something that requires direct simultaneous input from more than 2 people, discussion on best way forward, or it’s time critical always make a meeting. People always fail to answer emails in a timely manner, and when they do they only answer half the questions you asked them. So you end up going back and forth for 3 weeks before you have your answers for something that would have been resolved in a single meeting in the first week. And itgets exponentially worse with 3+ people.

    Oh and the amount of people that straight up ignore email requesting information from them is staggering…fuck those people.

    They organize unnecessary meetings because it’s their only hope for human contact throughout their dull lifeless days.

    90% of my meetings are Teams / WebEx. I just get other computer work done on the other screen while I listen to the meeting because there’s only 5-10 minutes of the 1 hour meeting that pertains to me.

    Sort emails. Respond to emails. Get CAD modeling done. Place orders for stuff.

    Love getting some down time to get stuff done.

        Yeah as much as useless meetings are annoying, Somebody always ignores their emails. And those meetings are just due to this person.
