As I predicted, they switched to blaming Millenials. Eventually, it will be Gen Z’s turn.

What exactly was I supposed to do to stop all this? I’m no fortunate son.

Do something about it or get out the way. Crying “why me though!?” is a distraction the real victims don’t need.

EDIT: Nice sidestep with “was”. You could do something useful today, or tomorrow. Instead, you’re here trying to shift blame that no-one was even pointing your way before you started preemptively whining.

      EDITx2: bolding.

I’m literally struggling just to get an ADHD diagnosis, while my co-workers laugh at me using PPE to save my lungs. Just getting enough money to even attempt anything is at best, a decade away, and at worst, we get killed by AI.

How fucking delusional are you? I already have a min-maxed plan, I have yet to design a Lemmy community for what I want to do.

Gen Alpha will blame Gen Z next, just you watch.

BTDT. That’s my point. We’re all to blame, or no one is, because no-one will survive to be pointing fingers if no-one steps up.

Delusional? Wasting time being picky about who’s to blame before the crisis is resolved is delusional. We already know the solution involves killing or at least imprissoning a bunch of people, and who to go after first.

Again, do something or get out of the way. Wasting everyone’s time crying “why are you looking at ME like that!?” is a distraction we can’t afford.

EDIT: bolded a bit someone obviously missed or is shortly to pretend they missed on first read.

The OP literally includes older generations blaming younger ones. Now you’re creating layers of distraction by quibbling over what is or isn’t “the real” distraction.

Who’s to blame? Who cares, so long as you don’t have to do anything about it, suffer any loss or inconvenience, or even admit you maybe share the slightest hint of fault.

              Gross.

Ok, I guess I should have been a suicide bomber, or harvest my invisible anime protagonist powers to just ignore the physical laws that stop me and billions of others from simply overthrowing the oligarchy.

Or just take blame and feel guilty for ???

You no doubt live in a much more priviliged position, why don’t you go play superhero instead?

I have my own Lemmy Community plan and philosophy designed to adress this issue, but I can’t run anything while making life or death decisions daily.

You are just so far up your own ass with this bootstraps and blame bullshit.

The guilt one should feel or not is in no way dependent on what others blame them for. We all agree he gets a good chunk of the blame, but do you think Trump feels guilt? Should he? See, it’s backwards! He sure spends a lot of time shifting blame though, as if blame-shifting itself were the most righteous calling of orangemanity.

So ask yourself, are you trying to be like Trump, while discussing problems he refuses to admit are even real problems?

You should feel guilty, most of all, for refusing to shut-up about how blameless you are. So blameless that you must pre-emptively shift blame to others, as if people like me care if blame falls on us any more. It’s like you and the majority of people out there, every one of them just like you in your approach to this, honestly believes you’re more blameless than others.

I’ve told you to do nothing. Called you deserving of nothing-in-particular. Said nothing about myself as being any different in blameworthiness to you, beyond that I am bored with the notion of blame itself in the face of how bad things are, how much worse they are going to get, and how hard fixing any of it will be.

None of that has stopped you coming at me as though my refusal to call you or your pet exceptions blameless is a particularly eggregious offense to your very soul. Grow up.

Seen your kind of self-righteous crusader assholes before. You find someone to spam this type of bullshit to, but it won’t everyone.

I honestly stopped feeling guilty about most things a while ago. Literally does no good, it’s only a weapon for someone else to use.

As for you, why would I allow someone to exercise free PsyOPs against me? Blocked, of course. At least the other guy has a legit reason besides:

“You appear to be from a generation I hate, and an easy target”.

                    Blow it up your ass.
