Edit: Sorry, I mean the Android app!
I can never seem to pull up old emails, like from years back. The search results tend to be limited to recent emails, it seems. Is anyone else having this problem? It just draws a blank for emails that I absolutely know I received years ago.
I am loving the unified inbox though, which I think Gmail lacks!
i have one user with a local mail store going back over two decades. she searches mails all the time and has only once had a problem ‘finding’ something… which turned out to not be in there in the first place, as it was in a different account only on her phone - thunderbird wasn’t configured for it.
It’s gotten much shittier recently, yes. It used to work better.
Much like all search, really.
To me usually quick search is giving better results than the global search
Search isn’t great, but also - there is more than one search function.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/global-search
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts-searching
Ctrl + K for Global, Ctrl + Shift + K for Local, and Ctrl + Shift + F for Advanced.
Sorry, I meant the Android app! Edited to add that in…
I’m having no issue searching for emails even from many years back???

Utterly. Can’t even search in message body.
You can though?
Well, fuck. I was just using it the other day and be damned if I could find “body” in the list. I must have been sleepy.
