Anakin would not have been a particularly powerful jedi. The force was in complete imbalance, with the Jedi order finding every force sensitive it could to put them on the path of becoming a Jedi. When Anakin turned, there were only a handful of Sith left. So his ability to command the force was amplified by how much the force wanted to be balanced, thus creating vader.

As a Jedi, anakin was strong, and had great potential, but it couldn’t be realized without the room the dark side offered.

I think if the Jedi weren’t allergic to emotion, they’d have been able to heal Anakin’s trauma (and maybe would have seen the wisdom in freeing his mother from slavery so he wouldn’t worry about her). And with that out of the way, Anakin could learn to let go of attachment.

But unfortunately for him, he had no chance at that.

Even then, the matter of balance diluted how much power any one Jedi could yield. The sheer amount of light side force users made it so that any of them had to pull from a pool of available power that hundreds were already pulling from. Meanwhile, there were like 3 total sith at the time.
