To be fair, I’ve gone through 4, including the above mentioned refurbished, since that original iPhone back in 2008? 9? I forget. It’s the apps. Even if your phone is fine, no noticeable functional issues, the apps will eventually stop working.
A lot of us still have old plans with free upgrades. Some great grandfathered T-Mobile and sprint plans out there.
