Covering your eyes and returning to your safe haven echo chamber rather than challenging your assumptions is quite the opposite of a “dose of reality.” It’s like a creationist saying “I’m in the Darwinist part of the site, aren’t I? Don’t worry, I’m going back to my bible group because I enjoy my biology with a dose of reality.”
