I watch to see what’s happening. You watch to confirm your bias.
And I find that being honest and looking at the facts is actually more freeing and it is you and your kind to live under the boot. You must conform with your echo chambers stated position! But I can look at a video and see that a car move towards a police officer, struck a police officer, and that the person was shot because the police officer legitimately feared for their life and say that is pretty much how it’s supposed to work. The mistake there was for her to operate her vehicle and move it towards a police officer when she shouldn’t have. I’m perfectly prepared to believe she didn’t intend to kill him but the cop doesn’t know that and the moment you start driving your car at a police officer you’ve created a situation where they are going to have to fire on you or put their own life at risk for no reason
That is a sensible reasonable intelligent position. If That bothers you I don’t know what to say. But I do believe as I have stated that the correct response to this is to be going out and telling every single person if the police tell you to do something you listen and you follow their orders, and then raise massive amounts of money for a crack teams of lawyers to step in when this kind of thing happens and protect people’s rights and if the police have done something wrong then ensure that they are charged
But despite tons of other police agencies and various groups of all stripes looking at this no charges were laid and that’s because he didn’t do anything wrong. The situation is tragic and I won’t say that she deserve to get shot but getting shot was inevitable after what she did and I wish the message being sent was that people shouldn’t do what she did so that they don’t get shot
The false narrative here is yours. Which is why the deportations are still enjoying a reasonably High level of public support. Which isn’t to say that I agree with everything Isis doing or that I agree with the whole mass deportation concept in its entirety at all but the fact is they’re acting within their lawful authority and there is a process for addressing any wrongdoing they do and that process is not driving in vehicle out of cop and then complaining when you get shot to death
