Seems fair that there would be some cost, like an administration fee. They need to get someone out there to check everything. If it was free, everyone and their mother would try to do a record. I’m not sure if they’re asking for anything beyond that?
The YT channel BigTime beat the world record for assembling a Jeep but won’t be in the book because they refused to pay for it.
They made their own book of records instead.
