Reading the Wikipedia page, it kinda sounds like a soft reboot rather than a direct sequel or a port. Kinda like the recent Starfox remake in a way. But to be fair, I don’t know that much about these games.
I think the new StarFox is a shot for shot remake of StarFox 64
Yes, but with more bells and whistles. Added things like cutscenes and other gameplay modes to flesh everything out more. That’s kinda what this sounds like to me. But I haven’t played the arcade releases to compare. I’m sure other folks in here have a better idea on it than me.
