Fuck, I hate that I’m going to get downvoted for this.

He’s a moron. Utter moron. However the underlying complaint about anything the Democrats did isn’t far off. Even with Rural Broadband, their requirements were so stringent that they effectively never got off the starting line. The dems continue to let perfection hinder progress.

The CHIPS act itself was a sound plan. That much money takes time to execute on and once this moron came back into office, the act was screwed.

The only reason I downvoted this comment was because of the “democrats pursue perfection” fallacy. The DNC establishment is performative. “Never getting off the starting line” is the goal. They want to get credit for the performance but are actively opposed to actually delivering anything beneficial, because that would mean fair and proportionate taxation of the wealthy, which they — being the wealthy and ruling class — must never allow.

Not sure about the broadband funding, but the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Hurricane Helene/Milton/Maui Wildfire special funding weren’t overly strict, and those projects have been underway for a while. Sure, these are targeted at disadvantaged communities, but they’re supposed to be.
