Because for all of my life we (USA) have been involved in some pointless war in the mid east. Frankly I’m tired of it and any effort to continue to be involved in it should be resisted. My opinion is presented as a way to be finally done with being involved in any conflict over there.
We’ve also seen the problems with oil since the 1970’s and continue to involve ourselves over there as world police. I’m done with that area of the world and being the police. Let them figure their own problems out, but level the playing field on the way out by nuclearizing everyone. We’ve had our thumb on the scale for nearly a century now.

Oil is a hell of a drug to the US. No reason to punish the people of the Middle-East for our addiction.
