Sure, I guess, for trying out what a bidet would be like, you can do that.
For more regular usage, though, when you can’t install a proper bidet, I would recommend investing the 10-20 bucks for a travel bidet. It’s a lot easier/quicker, when the splash water goes straight into the toilet and you don’t have to completely take off your pants+socks…
