Crazy how quickly this movie is making money. This movie should in theory have less draw than No Way Home and people are eating it up. Shows what a good story can do. There is for not at least no Spider-Man fatigue.
I hope the lesson here is not “just make more Spider-Man” movies.


I’ve yet to see it, so can’t comment on its predictability. However with what’s going on in the world today, I can certainly see people wanting to escape reality for a bit with a new variation of feel-good story format that’s well-worn and comfortable.

i watched this in a double-feature with the equilizer 3… it also suffered a rather boring story, but it was much more cathartic. it provided a level of satisfaction the recent spidey did not. it actually provided the context of a much more identifiable good over evil…that familiarity you mentioned.
im prolly just comparison-whining apples and oranges
